Wal-Mart Heart fundraiser this Saturday in Bainbridge

This Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. the Bainbridge Wal-Mart will be holding a fundraiser complete with dunking booth, face painting, brownie bake sale, and car wash! You may even spot "Ducky" the Bainbridge-Decatur County Chamber of Commerce mascot.

Four area children and adults will be honored as "Truck Drivers for A Day." On Wednesday, July 15th, the drivers will present them with driver uniform shirts and caps. Each of them will also receive items from their 'wish list' that they have provided to the Bainbridge Wal-Mart.

That's where the need for the fund raiser comes in. Store employees will be working hard to raise the money to fulfill each of the recipients wish list which includes such things as a video game for a young boy with no arms and a mattress for a wheelchair bound adult.

Wal-Mart is asking everyone in the community to come out, have some fun, get your car washed and help them raise some money. If you would like to volunteer to help, contact Sharon Vickers, Wal-Mart Community Coordinator at 229-246-2404 or just show up and she'll be happy to put you to work.

Wal-Mart Heart was started by one of the Wal-Mart truck drivers. The purpose is to lift the spirits of children or adults with chronic medical conditions or special needs within a community.
