Can some one enlighten me on the procedures the EMT's of Decatur County have in place if an emergency occurs on the river. The town has a tremendous draw to the river. How can/do the EMT's respond to an emergency that is up or down river not accessible by land ? Does the county have an emergency equipped boat at the marina that is outfitted for water emergencies. Are there any personnel that are trained in water rescues. What happens if there is a crash in the middlle of the river down stream from boat docks. With all the river traffic we have this is something that really needs to be addressed. If procedures are in place , forgive the question.
