Bass Fishing POOR: The water on the lake this week has definately risen and become very stained, however some fish are still biting. Some fish are being caught in various ways but the majority i have caught are still shallow. One good way of catching them are with a SPRO "Little John" lipless crankbait in "cellmate" color on the flats and current breaks on mail lake points. The SPRO "Mcstick110" jerkbait have been doing a good job on the current breaks as well.
Another way to catch the fish is using a 6" Big Bite Baits "Kriet Tail Worm" in Sapphire Blue color with a 1/8 oz tungsten weight texas rigged in the willow grass. The swimjig is also a great way of catching these fish, using a black/blue swim jig with a Big Bite Baits 3" Dean Rojas Fighting Frog in black/ Blue laminate as a trailer works incredibly good. And last is my personal favorite and i say it all too often, flipping the willow grass... its a great way to catch some big fish. Simply take a 1 oz tungsten weight pegged with a 4/0 superline hook and a Big Bite Baits Dean Rojas Fighting frog Blue Fleck color, flip it on the edges of the willow grass, and hold on.
These are some very good ways of catching fish and i hope you enjoy. Best of Luck!
