Fall Festival Held at Open Arms Ministry

On Saturday, October 30th Open Arms Ministry celebrated their Fall Festival and Fish Fry. It was a great success and almost 100 attendees joined the event. The festivities began at 5:30pm with lots of fun and games for the kids including a football toss, beanbag toss, balloon darts, fishing game and face painting. Then the children enjoyed breaking open a beautiful pumpkin piñata. Following was a wonderful buffet-style dinner with catfish, shrimp, cole slaw, baked beans, grits and all types of yummy desserts. Lots of mouth-watering cakes were displayed during a cake auction to benefit and friend of the church, Ricky Powell. One twelve-layer chocolate cake sold for $130. A fun ending to the evening was a free raffle with various fall-themed prizes.

The church recently completed a nursery and is in need of a baby bed, high chairs, toys, playpens and the like. If you can help please contact Sister Naomi at 229-246-8377.  The women's ministry is doing a Thanksgiving outreach to those in need. Monetary and food donations are being accepted to create the Thanksgiving day baskets. If you would like to help please contact Sister Naomi at 229-246-8377 or Sister Janet at 229-400-0248.

Pastor Brother C.O. Thompson would like to invite people of all denominations to this charismatic and independent worship center. Services are Sunday at 10:30 am and 6:00 pm with a children's church also at 10:30 am. On Wednesday nights a dinner and Bible teaching is held for children and adults at 6:30 pm.  The church is located at 300 Colquitt Drive in Bainbridge, GA in the old VFW building .  You may contact Pastor C.O. Thompson at 229-416-5979.
