Jennifer Lynne Robbins On Saturday, October 30th Open Arms Ministry celebrated their Fall Festival and Fish Fry. It was a great success and almost 100 attendees joined the event. The festivities began at 5:30pm with lots of fun and games for the kids including a football toss, beanbag toss, balloon darts, fishing game and
face painting. Then the children enjoyed breaking open a beautiful pumpkin piñata. Following was a wonderful buffet-style dinner with catfish, shrimp, cole slaw, baked beans, grits and all types of yummy desserts. Lots of mouth-watering cakes were displayed during a cake auction to benefit and friend of the church, Ricky Powell. One twelve-layer chocolate cake sold for $130. A fun ending to the evening was a free raffle with various fall-themed prizes.
