Lake Seminole - Lake Level is 77.33 which is down from full pool of 77.50. Water temp is 67 degrees.
Bass Fishing - Good. The fish are heavily on the beds right now spawning. The best thing to do to catch them is to sight fish. The sandbars on the creek, the backwaters, the main lake, all have spawning fish. Once you find a fish on the bed, you really just have to experiment on what lures work best to catch each fish. I always have good look on either a lizard or a finesse worm. Use a Big Bite Baits 6" Pro Lizard in watermelon seed or green pumpkin. If this doesn't work, take a 6" Big Bite Baits Biobait Finesse worm in watermelon and bite it off so it is only about 4 inches. Either one of these baits will eventually catch a fish that is locked on a bed.
If sight fishing is really not your thing, then you can located post-spawn fish. Anywhere you find lily pads near spawning areas are good places right now to find post-spawners. The best way to catch them is frog fishing. Use a Spro Bronzeye Jr. in Leopard color. Use braided line and a big, stiff rod such as a 7'10" Falcon Bobby's Perfect Frog Rod. Work the frog with a quick popping action over the tops of the lily pads. This is a way to catch some really nice fish this time of year.
