DCSO offers Women's Fight Back Class

 The Decatur County Sheriff's Department now offers a FREE self-defense Rape Aggression Defense(RAD) course for women. RAD is not a martial arts class, but a women's only course that teaches simple, realistic techniques for women of all ages.

Nationally certified RAD instructors teach with awareness prevention, avoidance, then progress onto  physical techniques. This is a 12 hour course, broken down into 3 hour sessions over a 4 evening period. Completion of the course will entitle the graduate to a "Lifetime Return Policy" for practicing their techniques at any location where the RAD program is offered.

The finale of the course gives willing students the opportunity of wearing protective gear and going one on one with a simulated "Attacker". This simulation gives women students empowerment by teaching them the essentials of fighting back and seeing the results BEFORE a threat might happen.
