Lake Seminole - down 1 foot, clear, 85 degrees.
Bass Fishing - Slow. The bass are tough to catch right now as they always are this time of year. Some rain and moving water would really help things out.
The lake is full of shad right now and they seem to be buried up in the grass. A Spro Bronzeye Popper in Albino Color is a good way to catch bass in the early morning and all day long. The best places is where the grass has began to die and make scum. The scum totally blackens out the Sun and creates shade for the bass. You really need a good stick like a Falcon Bobby's Perfect Frog rod and heavy braid to get the bass out of the mats.
Another good option for catching fish this time of year is to travel up river and flip laydowns on the banks of the river. The further up you go, the more current there will be and the better the bite will be. For flipping, use 25 lb. Sunline Flourocarbon, 1/2 Tungsten weight, 5/0 Gamaktsu Straight Shank hook, and a 4" Big Bite Baits Yo Momma in Watermelon. The Yo Momma is a good bait because it has an awesome gliding action when traveling down through the tree tops.
