The 2012 Bainbridge Half Marathon along with the "1st Annual Derby Night"; a Kentucky Derby themed event, were created as fundraisers for the Memorial Hospital Foundation. The money raised supports the Foundation’s mission to provide needed special equipment to Memorial Hospital, advancing health care in Southwest Georgia. The Half Marathon’s course is designed to showcase some of Bainbridge’s classic neighborhoods, our beautiful oak tree lined streets, and other local points of interest.
The money raised by this year’s Half Marathon and Derby Night are going to purchase a Achilles Bone Ultrasonometer to help fight fractures and osteoporosis, Nine New Chairs to make patients and their visitors more comfortable, and an expansion and remodeling of our new Digital Mammography Suite in our Kirbo Women’s Center.
